Biography
Skipper, engineer and entrepreneur, Charlie Ageneau moves between two demanding worlds: elite sport and business.
Performance as a school
Trained in France’s elite sailing programme and a member of the French sailing team, Charlie spent several years competing at Olympic level. Third in the European Cup in 2014 and seventh at the U23 World Championships in 2015, he developed a culture in which preparation, strategy and precision make the difference.
From sport to business
An engineer by training, Charlie has also built a solid management career. From Michelin to Solutec and then Thales, he has led strategic projects, grown businesses and managed teams of up to 70 people. Two very different arenas, one shared obsession: doing better with the resources available.
Building a crew
In 2023, he founded Stamina Sailing Team, an offshore racing team bringing together 25 people. As skipper and sports director, he sets the course, brings talent together, manages risk and sustains performance despite fatigue and unforeseen events. Management in real-world conditions.
When sailing inspires management
On stage, Charlie translates the lessons of offshore racing into business realities: making decisions without having all the answers, uniting people under pressure, bouncing back after failure and detecting weak signals. His talks use real situations and immersive footage to turn sporting experience into practical lessons for organisations.
Don’t try to motivate your teams. Inspire them.
