Damien Teyssier combines field experience, cybersecurity expertise and an understanding of human mechanisms to shed light on emerging digital, informational and cognitive threats.
From public security to cybersecurity
A former police officer in an anti-crime unit, he worked close to crisis situations and security issues. During his career in the French National Police, he trained in criminology and victimology and received bronze and silver medals for acts of courage and devotion.
He then moved into IT and cybersecurity. A graduate in computer science from the Faculty of Science and Technology in Limoges, he supplemented his background with several ANSSI training courses and developed operational expertise in information systems security.
Protecting organisations against new threats
Now a Cyber Director, Damien Teyssier works on cyberattack prevention, protection of informational assets, crisis management and organisational resilience. His work also covers open-source intelligence (OSINT), threat analysis and the detection of informational risks.
He also served for four years in the COMCYBER Citizen Cyber Defence Reserve.
Understanding information warfare
For many years, Damien Teyssier has explored another arena of conflict: our perceptions. Cognitive biases, information predation, disinformation, influence, profiling, information overload and perception management are central to his work and talks.
Economic intelligence and the human factor
A participant in the IHEDN 88th long cycle in Economic and Strategic Intelligence, Damien Teyssier also lectures in engineering schools and training programmes on cybersecurity, intelligence, cognitive biases and information warfare.
As a strategy and perception-management adviser, trainer and speaker, he connects the technical, strategic and human dimensions of security.
