Biography

An entrepreneur at the heart of the digital revolutions

An entrepreneur since the age of 22, Gilles Babinet has founded several companies in very different fields: work at height, industrial design, mobile music with Musiwave, co-creation with eYeka, and later data and business intelligence tools with Captain Dash. This journey gives him a practical understanding of innovation, growth and business model disruption.

A leading voice in digital policy

First President of France's National Digital Council in 2011 and then Co-President from 2021 to 2025, he contributed to French debates on education, open data, regulation, competitiveness and technological sovereignty. As France's Digital Champion to the European Commission, he connects business challenges with public policy and geopolitical choices.

From AI awareness to genuine transformation

President of the Café IA mission and a member of the French AI Committee, he works to make artificial intelligence understandable and accessible to all. His approach goes beyond tools: it examines production models, governance, management culture, technological dependencies and the place of human beings.

An author connecting technology, climate and society

A lecturer and author of numerous books, he notably published Green AI, devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in support of the environmental transition, followed in 2026 by The AI Peril: Become Machines or Remain Alive? His talks give leaders clear reference points, strategic vision and immediately applicable courses of action.

He deciphers the changes driven by AI to help organisations combine transformation, sovereignty, performance and responsibility.
