Biography
Virginie Raisson-Victor is a researcher in geopolitics and foresight. She helps organisations read global transformations — climate, resources, energy, technology and power dynamics — to inform strategic choices.
Understanding what defines our era
Trained in history, international relations and geopolitics, she has carried out analysis and negotiation missions for international institutions and NGOs. She encourages audiences to look beyond the flow of crises and identify the long-term dynamics reshaping the world: power, climate, resources, infrastructure, demography, technology and society.
Connecting the issues
Co-founder of LÉPAC with Jean-Christophe Victor, she contributed to the approach behind Le Dessous des Cartes and several reference atlases. Her strength lies in revealing interdependencies: what happens in energy affects value chains, territories, business models, social risk and sovereignty.
Foresight for action
Author of 2033, Atlas des Futurs du Monde and 2038, les Futurs du Monde, she works on systemic risks, ecological transition, planetary boundaries and organisational resilience. For her, foresight is not prediction: it is a method for identifying weak signals, building scenarios and turning uncertainty into decision-making capacity.
A useful voice for decision-makers
President of the GIEC des Pays de la Loire and co-founder of Le Grand Défi des entreprises pour la planète, Virginie Raisson-Victor speaks to leaders, local authorities, institutions and companies. Her talks provide reference points to anticipate, decide and act in a constrained, unstable and interconnected world.
Geopolitics to understand, foresight to choose, commitment to act.
Geopolitics to understand, foresight to choose, commitment to act.
