Biography

Penser le leadership au-delà des formules toutes faites.

Éric-Jean Garcia supports executives and managers in developing lucid, responsible and sustainably effective leadership. His approach combines operational experience, academic research and a deep understanding of the human and political realities of organizations.

For him, leadership cannot be reduced to charisma or a universal toolbox. It depends on context, power dynamics, organizational culture and a leader's ability to exercise discernment.

Une expérience de dirigeant ancrée dans le réel.

Before entering academia, Éric-Jean Garcia spent more than fifteen years in senior management roles in the private sector. He served as Export Manager and then International Director at the Bidermann Group, as CEO of a company developing a beauty institute franchise concept, and as head of a professional cosmetics laboratory.

He also led INSEEC Paris, where he contributed to obtaining the French "Grande École" accreditation, integrated Sup de Pub into the institution and helped develop its academic pathways.

An academic and international career

Éric-Jean Garcia holds an MBA in International Management from the University of Dallas, an MPhil from the Institute of Education at the University of London, and a PhD in Leadership Development in Executive Education from University College London.

At Sciences Po Executive Education, he led the Executive Master "Trajectoires Dirigeants" for more than ten years and co-directed the Executive Master "Legal Issues and Leadership", developed with the Cercle Montesquieu and Sciences Po Law School.

Having lived and worked in the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Switzerland, he brings an intercultural perspective to leadership and speaks at academic institutions in France and abroad.

Rigorous and accessible teaching

His keynotes combine intellectual depth, practical examples, subtle humor and perspective. They can be extended through workshops in which participants explore their own dilemmas and identify concrete courses of action.

"Companies have far more to gain by developing their singularity than by trying to resemble idealized models based on preformatted practices."

Rethinking leadership beyond ready-made formulas.
